Research

Dr. Victoria Vetter and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) are embarking on a very ambitious effort to screen 100,000 children across the United States. A similar study was conducted in Europe by Dr. Peter Schwartz. That study found that the incidents of sudden cardiac arrest and death in children were prevalent and were dramatically reduced by mandatory EKG exams. To support her efforts, Simon’s Fund has pledged $250,000 for this study.
