Simon’s Day 2010 Photos
Over 400 people flocked to the Ambler Theater for a day of fun. Kids laughed at The Great Holtzie, sang and danced with Alex and the Kaleidoscope Band, and were mezmerized by the magic of Michael Bonacci. The grown ups relaxed, socialized and hid out in the theaters to watch classic cartoons and sports bloopers.
The event raised $75,000, which will be used to screen the hearts of 1,500 students.
Simon’s Day 2009 Photos
Over 1,000 people showed up at Please Touch Museum on February 8, 2009 to have fun and raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest in children. We honored two very special girls, Valerie Krawitz and Melissa Fair. These girls attended a Simon’s Fund heart screening in 2007 and discovered that they had serious heart conditions. They’re healthy now and helping us screen more kids!
2008 at Green Valley Country Club
On January 26, 2008, we honored Miss Massachusetts 2006, Michaela Gagne. Michaela was diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome in high school, and dedicated her reign as Miss Massachusetts to raising awareness about her condition and heart health. This event raised $170,000 through sponsorships and auctions. The auction was led by Don Tollefson from FOX News. The top grossing item was VIP Access to the Entourage Premiere in New York.
